Introduction
We built this 1000W halogen lamp for one reason: to be a serious workhorse. This isn’t about mood lighting. It’s a dedicated heat source for industrial jobs, plain and simple. If you’re an engineer, you know the drill. You need a component that delivers predictable, high-intensity infrared energy right where you need it. This lamp is that component. It’s the kind of tool you can spec out, wire up, and put straight to work without a second thought.
Let’s Get Into the Details
The 1000W rating is the heart of the matter. It dictates the heat output and the electrical draw, plain and simple. Most of these lamps are designed for standard voltages—think 110V or 220V—but we can also build them for higher voltages if your setup demands it. That wattage and voltage combo determines the current load. And that, in turn, directly impacts what wiring and control components you’ll need. Then there’s the physical size. We typically make these in 300mm or 500mm tube lengths. Why? Because those dimensions fit standard mounting footprints. That means you can swap it into an existing machine with zero hassle. No redesigns. No downtime. And because the power density is high, you just need to make sure your machine’s cooling system is ready for the extra ambient heat.
What It’s Made Of
We wrap the whole thing in a quartz envelope because it can handle the extreme heat from the tungsten filament. That’s non-negotiable. The secret sauce, though, is the halogen cycle. It takes evaporated tungsten and puts it back onto the filament. This extends the lamp’s life and keeps the light output consistent. No more blackening that kills standard incandescent bulbs. For the connection, we use the R7s connector. It’s the industry standard for this form factor, for good reason. It handles the high current safely and gives you a secure, two-point contact that’s easy to install and remove right on the factory floor. This design is built to take a beating, day in and day out.
Where It Shines
These lamps are the go-to for focused infrared heat. Think plastic processing, packaging sealing, drying. You get the heat right where you need it, fast, without warming up the whole machine. Thanks to the halogen cycle and the quartz envelope, the lamp can run hotter. That means a faster response time than other heating elements, giving you precise control over the heating cycle. Just keep in mind, with that kind of power comes responsibility. You’ll need to make sure your thermal management and electrical infrastructure are set up to handle the 1000W load. For engineers who need a straightforward, high-output, direct-heat solution, this 1000W halogen lamp is just that. A reliable tool you can count on.
