What It’s Made Of

Quartz glass takes the heat shock of rapid on-off cycles without cracking. The halogen cycle keeps the filament steady and fights off blackening, so the lamp stays bright longer. The ruby coating filters visible light and pushes output in the near-infrared band, so the energy goes exactly where it’s supposed to. And the R7s or SK15 base gives you a solid, low-resistance connection. You wire it up quickly, and you get back to work.
