Inside, the halogen cycle inside the quartz envelope keeps output steady over the life of the lamp. No more dimming as time goes on, like you get with standard incandescent bulbs. That design lets the filament run hotter, so you get stable, high-intensity infrared heat. The R7s base gives a solid, two-ended connection that handles the quartz tube’s thermal expansion and keeps contact resistance low. Where It Shines—and What to Keep an Eye On
These lamps are made for process heating: plastic softening, sealing, pre-heating. You get fast response and a compact footprint—power where you need it, when you need it. But there’s a trade-off. Packing 1000W into a 665mm tube means you need to get reflector alignment right and manage airflow.
