The nitty-gritty stuff Inside that quartz envelope is a tungsten filament doing all the heavy lifting. We went with the SK15 connector because, let’s be honest, nobody wants a lamp vibrating loose in the middle of a shift. It’s a secure fit. Plus, since they run on 220V, you can usually just plug them into your existing setup. No need to mess around with clunky transformers. Since they’re 350mm, they usually slide right into most mid-range industrial heaters. It’s a simple swap when your old tubes finally give up the ghost. Why the “half-white” look? It’s not about making the machine look pretty. It’s about where the heat actually goes. By coating part of the quartz, we’re essentially telling the infrared radiation, “Go this way.” It reflects some of that heat back toward the filament and pushes the rest exactly where you need it—on the workpiece. Making it work for you You’ll see these all over PET blowing, shrink wrapping, and curing lines. The shortwave radiation just bites into materials faster than the old-school heaters do. But a word of caution. 2000W in such a short tube creates some intense, localized heat. If your fans are clogged or your ventilation is a bit weak, you might end up warping your mounting brackets or frying the SK15 terminals. My advice? Give your thermal shielding a quick check every 500 hours. It only takes a minute, and it keeps your control electronics from soaking up too much heat.
