We pack it with a halogen gas mixture so the filament doesn’t just burn out and vanish. Instead, the tungsten actually cycles back onto the filament. It keeps the lamp alive longer and keeps your wattage steady.
Getting the Power Right
When we’re picking a lamp, it all comes down to how much heat you actually need in a specific spot. We usually go with higher voltages—like 230V or 400V. Why? Because it lets us hit those big numbers (think 2500W+) without needing massive cables that would probably melt your wiring. Then you’ve got the size. Whether you go with 300mm or 500mm, you’re basically deciding where the heat lands. Just a heads-up: if you cram a ton of wattage into a short tube, things getintense. If you’re running them at full blast, make sure your housing can take the heat, or you’ll end up with a warped chassis. Not a fun day at the office.
Why Quartz and Those Specific Plugs?
We use quartz for a reason. It doesn’t crack when the temperature swings wildly, and it lets shortwave infrared radiation pass right through without wasting energy. Some of our lamps even have a special coating if you need to shift the heat spectrum or keep the glass clean from gunk. As for the connections, we stick with R7s or SK15. They’re the gold standard. If a lamp burns out, you can just pop it out and slide a new one in. No need to spend your afternoon rewiring the whole heater bank.
Putting Them to Work
