If you need heat—and you need it now—these lamps are your best bet. We built these 616mm shortwave tubes for the kind of jobs where waiting for a slow warm-up isn’t an option. By packing halogen gas into a quartz envelope, we can crank the filament temperature way up without the thing just burning out. The result? A concentrated hit of shortwave radiation that sinks into your materials much faster than those slower medium or longwave options.

The Power Stuff

Running at 230V and 1500W, these give you a steady, linear flow of heat across the whole 616mm length. It’s exactly what you want if you’re running a conveyor belt or a drying tunnel and can’t afford “cold spots.” Plus, we designed them for standard industrial grids. You can just wire them in. No need to mess around with bulky, expensive step-down transformers. One heads-up: keep an eye on your voltage. We’ve balanced the wattage and length to keep things stable, but if you over-drive the voltage, you’ll fry the filament. Stick to 230V if you don’t want your tubes popping.

Making it Work in the Real World

Make sure your housing and reflectors can actually handle that kind of heat, otherwise, you’re going to end up with a warped frame. Also, double-check your cooling fans.
