It’s designed to hit those high temperatures almost instantly. The power side of things Packing 2000W into a small quartz envelope creates a ton of shortwave infrared radiation. In plain English? You get immediate heat transfer. We went with the SK15 connector because it actually stays put. There’s nothing worse than a lamp shifting around while your machine is vibrating, so this keeps everything locked in. One heads-up, though: this thing gets hot. Really hot. If your ventilation is lacking, your socket housing is going to cook. Just make sure your cooling fans are up to the task before you flip the switch. Why the “half-white” coating? You’ll notice the tube isn’t fully clear. We added a selective white coating to help you control where the heat actually goes. A clear tube just blasts radiation everywhere. But the white part reflects some of that heat back toward your target. It acts like a filter, making sure you don’t accidentally overshoot your temperature and warp or burn your workpiece. It’s all about finding that sweet spot between raw power and actual precision. Getting it into your workflow Most of the time, these end up in PET blowing machines or curing ovens. Since they fit the standard SK15 footprint, swapping them in is a breeze. But keep an eye on your hardware. 2000W is a heavy lift for your contactors. I’d suggest double-checking your wiring gauge—voltage drops are a silent killer and will eat through your lamp’s lifespan way faster than they should. And since these things usually run in 24/7 factory environments, they take a beating. Do yourself a favor and keep those reflectors clean. It makes a huge difference in how the heat actually throws.
